I am a photographer and artist dividing my time between my studio practice, (which includes work with Sleeper.Studio) client commissions, and teaching at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. My work draws on my formal training in documentary photography and studio art to engage with diverse practices in image making.
I hold an M.F.A. in Studio Art from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as well as an M.A. in Documentary Photography from Ohio University’s School of Visual Communication.
My books can be seen in the special collections at:
Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library at Yale University
The Detroit Center for Contemporary Photography
Joan Flasch Artist’s Book Collection – School of the Art Institute, Chicago
John Cleary Library – Houston Center for Photography
Special Collections – Ohio University Library
The Sloane Art Library – The University of North Carolina Chapel Hill
My work has been shown at the Catherine Edelman Gallery (Chicago), The Ackland Art Museum (Chapel Hill), Lump (Raleigh), Spectre Arts (Durham) and other institutions across the country.
Work has also been featured by American Photo, National Geographic, VSCO, Time, CNN, Phaidon, Fast Company, The Huffington Post, Vice Creator’s Project, Juxtapoz, and others.
I have been named an ADC Young Gun and a Prix Pictet nominee.
